What are health consultations?

Health consultations are 1-on-1 appointments with your provider to determine how our services can benefit you and your goals to achieve optimal function. Before your initial appointment, we have you fill out a comprehensive Health History questionnaire that allows our doctors to better understand your health concerns. At that initial appointment, you will meet with the doctor to review your medical history to determine the most appropriate comprehensive testing. Some examples of recommended testing include, but are not limited to:

  • Comprehensive blood tests

  • Comprehensive urine tests

  • Comprehensive stool tests

  • Comprehensive saliva tests

Each test that is recommended has its own costs, and this will be discussed with the patient prior to leaving the office. Some tests can be completed while in the office, while others require the patient to take home and collect at their own convenience.

Testing benefits with our office:

  1. We don’t believe in up-charging for any of our tests. We charge what the labs charge.

  2. Our office works very closely with each lab company to bring the best pricing possible to our patients.

  3. Often patients find our cost of testing much cheaper than going through their insurance, although we do have the option of going through insurance if a patient prefers.

Testing often takes 4 weeks to get results back, which is followed by a very comprehensive review with your provider. A patient’s test results tell us a story about how their body is functioning, and we allow the patient’s results to paint the picture. Again, we do not want to rely on symptoms, nor do we want to chase a patient’s symptoms, as so many other doctors find themselves doing. At that consultation, many recommendations will be given, including dietary changes, supplementation, and a plan moving forward to best get a patient’s health back on track!
